“Manufacturing firms in New York State reported that business activity continued to expand strongly,” according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Empire State Manufacturing Survey for November.  The General Business Conditions Index climbed to 23.3, up 2.1 points from last month (a reading above zero indicates expansion).  The Six-Month Outlook also improved by 4.6 points to 33.6.  New Orders and Shipments held steady while Prices Paid “remained elevated,” increasing 2.5 points to 44.5.  See the full report here.
